Umm.....technically North Korea has already acted once in a big way.  That is why there is North and South Korea.

The world made the mistake of underestimating the power of nationalism once.  I certainly hope we don't make that mistake again.  North Korea has a military big and powerful enough to be scary.  They could inflict some serious damage on South Korea and then it would be Romulan game between the US and China.  China has bombs, ships, tanks, fighter jets and a billion men in military reserves.

Any scenario where North Korea uses military force is very, very scary.

Do not be scared...for one thing the South Korean military might ? Out numbers the Norths about tri-fold. Next, the United States will back any movement by the South.

China being silent doe's not mean they don't agree...they are running scared as to thier economy right now, they HAVE to agree with what-ever WE want...pretty simple.


North Korea's position is similar to the Soviet Union's in the late '80's...they are broke, they are broken, and they will fall soon. People can't be suppressed in the World any-longer.

White House reporter Helen Thomas told it like it is and had to resign.  Oh well, she is almost 90.  Maybe she can retire and tell it like it should be told, and not like the Israeli/Jewish influence peddlers want it to be.  Israel is flat wrong, and we are hated because we tell everyone else who is only a fraction as bad as Israel they are wrong, while still supporting the rogue state of Israel.  Such hypocrites we are.  All these neo-cons who preach we should be out of the UN due to us being alone should wonder why.  We are supporting a terrorist state (Israel) against the wishes of most other countries in the UN.  When we we learn that if we supply helicopters and missiles that kill unarmed Palestinians in an occupied territory, the people being oppressed will blame and hate us along with the Jews?

The Former Soviet Union had 1,000's of nukes, where did that get them?---Broke, depressed economically, then dissolved as what they were.

Helen had a nice 50 year run. Kinda weird that one unguarded statement pushed her into retirement. I think she may have been thinking about retirement for awhile and the Lady decided to go out with a bang. She has never pulled any punches and is 89.

I respect her still, make-up and hair stylist be damned...Helen Thomas is an Icon.

Thanks to the French,  Israel does indeed have nuclear weapons which they produce and store at thier "Dimona" facility. No one is sure of the numbers (obviously) but they are there.
